About

Hi! I’m Jenny and I’ve been travelling with my husband, Lewis, since 2012 – this is me and him looking windswept and magnificent on a sand dune in Jordan <3:

Wadi Rum, Jordan

We’ve gone through a lot of travel incarnations over the years (backpackers, flashpackers, house-sitters, confused hobos) but these days we‘re more like serial expats, travelling slowly and spending months at a time in the places we visit. We rent an apartment, settle in, pretend like we live there and take advantage of the instant adventures on offer every time we set foot outside our front door.

So why Grub and Graffiti? Well, when you travel a lot you tend to get into a trusted routine to help you get settled, and I’ve found that there are two things I always search out as soon as we arrive – local dishes and great street art. They help me to get oriented, get a feel for where I am, and to appreciate the differences and similarities to where we’ve been before.

So, this is my travel blog: exploring the world through street art and food.

And booze. Don’t forget the booze.
